Katja Tuomainen is an experienced Finnish chef and the Team Manager of the Finnish Culinary Team, a position she has held since 2020. She has been a member of the team since 2016 and has played a key role in its success, including winning gold at the IKA Culinary Olympics in 2024.

With a strong background in both fine dining and competition cooking, Katja has represented Finland on the international stage for years. She is also an international culinary judge, bringing her expertise and deep understanding of gastronomy to competitions around the world.

Katja’s cooking is inspired by Nordic ingredients and traditions, but she also enjoys incorporating modern techniques and influences. She values precision, balance, and respecting the natural flavors of high-quality ingredients.

At Food & Fun 2025, Katja will showcase Finnish flavors with a seasonal and refined approach. Her menu will feature ingredients such as wild ramson, pike-perch, and peas, celebrating the purity and simplicity of Nordic cuisine.
