Chef Sonja Kristensen is the creative force behind the two Michelin-starred Kontrast in Oslo. Known for her bold yet elegant dishes, she seamlessly blends Norwegian produce with global influences, surprising diners with innovative presentations and a touch of playfulness.
Sonja began her culinary journey on a small family farm in rural Norway, where she learned to respect every ingredient from an early age. She refined her skills at some of the world's most renowned kitchens, including The Fat Duck in the UK, where she honed her technique in experimental cuisine. Returning home, she spearheaded Kontrast alongside owner Mikael Svensson, earning accolades for her commitment to sustainability and seasonality.
